Annual CCLSA Anterior Case Presentation Dinner

Activity Outline

Event is open to both CCLSA Members and nonmembers.

Numbers to be capped at 25 with expectation of 20-25 attendees.

The attendees will be seated with maximum of 10 people per table. It will be a therapeutic interactive CPD event with a large emphasis on back-and-forth discussion about different management options. Cases will be presented with a relevant case history and/or initial referral letter summary. Key findings will be presented in photo and video format similar to what any attendee would observe in their examination. Discussions will centre around what these signs indicate and what the possible treatment options are. Cases will be limited to 5-minute presentations with 15-30 minutes of discussion for each presentation.

Learning Objectives

  • Better identify signs and symptoms of acute and chronic anterior ocular infection and inflammation
  • Treat and/or manage these signs and symptoms
  • Confidently troubleshoot anterior segment cases
  • Develop an appreciation for differential diagnosis based on a case presentation
