Activity Outline
Workshops in thyroid eye disease, retinal, corneal and glaucoma diseases.
This CPD will highlight and investigate case studies with the aid of live patients. This is not simply didactic learning.
Learning Objectives
- Perform and grade a gonioscopy and determine if and when the patient should be referred for further assessment/treatment
- Identify characteristics between therapeutic therapy of glaucoma and laser or surgical treatment
- Identify key factors associated with Thyroid Eye Disease, associate them with patient symptoms and be confident to recognize and refer at relevant timeframes
- Identify the difference in treatment of intravitreal injections and PRP associated with Diabetic eye disease, when each should be advised and patient symptoms determining each modality of treatment
- Associate retinal symptoms with the broader medical conditions that require urgent treatment
