Learning Objectives
- Many modern optometry practices have invested in ultra-widefield imaging equipment and thus are imaging the peripheral retina more. The aim of the presentation is to update the attendees' clinical knowledge of the relevant pathology.
- I will also ensure that the optometrists understand better the importance of specialist referral for relevant peripheral retinal pathology.
- Vitreolysis Laser is unique in Canberra to Blink Eye Clinic. It is a modern technique for the treatment of symptomatic floaters. Previously, the only treatment option was surgery. The purpose is to update attendees on vitreolysis laser, which has proven to be very successful in the treatment of disabling floaters.
