  • Differentiate PUK from other presentations of corneal lesions
  • Recognise the seriousness of PUK and the systemic associations
  • Understand the pathogenesis of carotid cavernous fistulas
  • Recognise the clinical symptoms of carotid cavernous fistula and how to differentiate it from the more common causes of conjunctival injection
  • Be familiar with the condition Vogt Koyanagi Harada Syndrome and its mimics
  • Be aware of the AIBSE and AMPPE as the possible cause for unusual patient symptoms such as flashes and scotomas without obvious clinical cause.
