Learning Objectives

• At the completion of the activity, participants should be able to identify the ocular signs and symptoms of Ptosis.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should be able to identify the common causes of Ptosis.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should be aware of the various modalities of fundus imaging available.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should be able to understand how different fundus imaging techniques are used in various diseases of the retina.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should be aware of new fundus imaging techniques and their advantages.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should be able to consolidate their knowledge of recent trends in glaucoma management in general practice.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should understand the treatments available for primary open angle glaucoma in particular SLT application and MIGS.
• At the completion of the activity, participants will have refreshed and reinforced their clinical approach to acute neuro-ophthalmic signs.
• At the completion of the activity, participants will be re-familiarised with the patterns of neurologic field loss.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should be more capable at differentiating papilloedema from pseudopapilloedema.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should have reviewed common surgical conditions affecting the macular (namely, Macular Hole, Epiretinal Membrane, Vitreomacular Traction, Submacular Hemorrhage) and understand their symptoms, causes and natural history.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should understand how to assess each condition with multimodal imaging, OCT and fluorescein angiography.
• At the completion of the activity, participants should understand the management of each condition and be able to identify factors that indicate a need to intervene (e.g. visual symptoms, visual acuity and anatomical disruption), surgical techniques employed in macular surgery and outcomes of surgical intervention.
