- To suspect conditions other than normal tension glaucoma, including neuro-ophthalmic and vitreo-retinal issues in some patients who present with visual field loss or optic disc hemorrhage

- To identify patients who would benefit from scleral fixated lenses
- To understand the variety of surgical approaches to dealing with ectopia lentis and dislocated intraocular lenses
- To understand the role of optometrists in the post-operative care of patients with scleral fixated lenses
