Learning Objectives

  • To identify the features of and correctly diagnose both pseudoexfoliation glaucoma and pigment dispersion glaucoma with specific reference to the key differences of these conditions To understand the risk factors that increase the likelihood of PXF or PDs causing glaucoma To formulate an immediate management plan for PXF/PDS glaucoma in an emergent setting To establish an evidence-based treatment plan for PXF/PDS glaucoma with reference to co-management opportunities.
  • To describe features of a corneal lesion which facilitate identification and diagnosis To describe the features of peripheral ulcerative disease the potential associated systemic complications and relevant additional testing required. To understand the indication for referral and the options for emergent management of acute corneal disease
