Activity Outline

Join us in an exclusive hybrid event all about managing pterygia in-office before the stage of surgery and post-surgery, as well as showcasing surgical techniques of pterygia removal. We are lucky to have Professor Lawrie Hirst, pioneer of the P.E.R.F.E.C.T. for pterygium technique, and Dr Tanya Trinh, an acclaimed cornea, cataract and refractive surgeon who is the only surgeon in NSW to continue to offer the P.E.R.F.E.C.T. technique for Pterygium in Australia.

Learning Objectives

  • Confidently diagnose a pterygium and understand when to refer
  • Manage and monitor pterygia that do not require surgery
  • Understand the principles behind the surgical techniques for pterygia
  • Understand the post operative care and expectations for the surgical pterygium patient
