Summary
The field of corneal transplantation has advanced rapidly over the last 20 years. We will look back at the developments that have revolutionised the way we treat corneal disease, and look forward to what may lie in the future.

Learning Objectives
After the presentation, delegates will have a better understanding of the current surgical approaches to corneal disease.

Dr Evan Wong

Show details

Dr Evan Wong is a corneal, cataract and refractive surgeon at the Lions Eye Institute. Dr Wong also consults and teaches ophthalmology trainees and fellows at Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. After completing ophthalmology training in Perth, he received a RANZCO scholarship and undertook a clinical and research fellowship at the Singapore National Eye Centre and Singapore Eye Research Institute. He is the principal investigator in a pilot study to validate cell therapy products for corneal endothelial disease. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and two daughters.
