Learning Objectives
- gain an understanding on the various management options for patients diagnosed with concurrent gl aucoma and ocular surface/dry eye disease
- become more familiar with the various preservative-free therapeutic medication management options for glaucoma patients experiencing issues relating to drop toxicity
- become more familiar with the therapeutic medication management options for acute angle closure glaucoma
- become more familiar with the common mistakes optometrists make in the diagnosis of glaucoma and other eye disease and how this impacts the therapeutic medication management of such patients
- gain an understanding of the reasons why older people are at greater risk of developing glaucoma
- become more familiar with the different types of MIGS devices and how these impact the therapeutic medication management of glaucoma patients
- gain an understanding of the limitations of current glaucoma clinical guidelines, especially in the context of pre-perimetric glaucoma diagnosis and how these can subsequently impact the therapeutic medication management of pre-perimetric glaucoma
- become more familiar with clinical practice guidelines for AMD in order to better manage patients with this disease
- become more familiar with the diagnosis and therapeutic medication management (both topical and oral) of Herpes Simplex Keratitis
