Learning Objectives

  • The objective of session one is to discuss ocular surface disease as a result of glaucoma medications and early minimally invasive interventions, including Micro Bypass Glaucoma Surgery (MBGS), that are available to lower IOP, reduce medication burden and improve ocular surface health.
  • The objective of session two is to look at the safety and effectiveness of corneal crosslinking and benefits of early diagnosis and intervention with corneal crosslinking in preserving patient’s vision and quality of life.
  • Determine the role of optometrists in the early diagnosis and referral for interventions for keratoconus and OSD due to glaucoma medications.
