All Rockhampton Optometrists are invited to attend ‘Seeing Eye to Eye: Collaborative Care in Glaucoma Management’ at Cocobrew, Rockhampton on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024.
As a community we can work together to ensure that Dr Kate Hogden is available to new patients.
Dr Hogden will discuss when to refer the glaucoma patient and then how that patient can be comanaged to provide timely and local care.

Dr Kate Hogden B.Sc, MBBS, FRANZCO, M.Med (Ophthalmic Science)Dr Kate Hogden practices comprehensive Ophthalmology with sub-specialty interests in glaucoma, cataract surgery and medical retina. Dr Hogden completed her Medical degree at the University of Queensland before moving to Sydney to undertake Ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital. She then completed subspecialty training in Glaucoma at the surgically renowned University of British Columbia. Whilst at UBC, Dr Hogden also spent time with the prestigious Vitreoretinal department gaining invaluable medical and surgical retina experience. She undertook further medical retina training on her return to Australia at Sydney Eye Hospital where she worked as the Medical Retina fellow. Dr Hogden performs various glaucoma laser procedures as well as traditional glaucoma surgeries (including trabeculectomy and glaucoma drainage devices). She also has a special interest in minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS and MIBS).Along with her private positions, Dr Hogden holds a public appointment at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and is involved in Registrar teaching. She is actively involved in ongoing clinical research and has presented at a number of Australian and international Ophthalmology conferences. Being from North Queensland and having family in Rockhampton, she enjoys the opportunity to help provide Ophthalmic care in regional Queensland. |
