Activity Outline

We have Professor Etty Bitton, a renowned expert from the Tear Film and Ocular Society experts gracing us from Montreal to deliver an insightful presentation. This is a unique opportunity to blend the joy of fine dining with intellectual enrichment, and we anticipate a delightful evening of learning, networking, great food, wine and fun that we at the CCLSA are known to deliver.

Ocular lubricants, such as artificial tears and ointments, are the mainstay in dry eye management and have evolved to include complex formulations and innovations in bottle technology. The composition of ocular lubricants can include demulcents, emulsions, preservatives, buffers, osmo-protectants, sodium hyaluronate, and more. This course provides an overview of these ingredients to gain a better understanding of their function in ocular lubricants. Furthermore, innovations in bottle technology will also be presented for practitioners to consider when selecting an ocular lubricant. The course will end with clinical cases whereby the choice of ingredients in ocular lubricants and bottle innovation will be highlighted in the management of dry eye patients. We look forward to seeing you there!

Numbers to be capped at 120 with expectation of 30-50 attendees.
The attendees will be seated at tables with maximum of 6-10 people per table for the duration of each session. During the Q&A times, we will give time for discussion between attendees to discuss the relevance to their clinical practice.
