Activity Outline

This webinar will have 3 key speakers (Dr James Muecke, Dr Rushmia Karim & Dr Nima Pakrou) presenting on various topics. After each presentation there will be time to answer live questions from attendees; this will allow each speaker and the moderator (Dr Lewis Levitz) the opportunity to give their opinion. 


Learning Objectives

  • Understand the health issues associated with neglecting diabetes, the worrying rise of type 2 diabetes and strategies to curb the toxic impact of sugar on the health of individuals and communities.
  • Understand the comorbidities that present in an ophthalmic/optometry practice, focusing on management of cataracts in patients with systemic and ocular comorbidities.
  • Learn about the emerging treatment options for diabetic eye health and what the future holds for these patients.
