This education evening will consist of four 30 minute interactive stations. Each presenting Doctor will deliver a short lecture on a wide range of topics followed by group discussion Q&A

  • Understand patient suitability for refractive surgery• Understand surgical techniques and procedure for refractive surgery• Recognise signs of post surgical complications• Understand post operative therapeutic drops management
  • Define ocular surface squamous neoplasia• Recognise subclassification of OSSN• Identify clinical features of OSSN• Understand current therapeutic treatment options• Discuss current surgical treatment options
  • Recognise and diagnose keratoconus• Identify risk factors of Keratoconus • Manage allergic conjunctivitis related to Keratoconus • Assess for progression of Keratoconus • Understand the criteria for collagen cross linking
  • Identify normal anatomical landmarks on widefield retinal imaging• Recognise when to refer asymptomatic retinal holes• Understand further on age related peripheral retinal degenerations• Differentiate pigmented peripheral retinal lesions• Document diabetic retinopathy with ultra-widefield imaging
