Wanting to boost your clinical skills when it comes to the anterior eye? Wanting to get more confident in corneal foreign body removal?

We are bringing our much anticipated corneal foreign body removal workshop to Newcastle for 2024! In collaboration with Nexus Hospitals, we are fortunate to have ophthalmologist Dr. Ravi Singh lead us in a clinical skills night with a focus on foreign body removal.

The night will be composed of a presentation of interesting anterior segment cases, foreign bodies and removal technique by Dr. Ravi Singh! Followed by clinical sessions where you will get hands-on experience in foreign body removal, with the guidance of Dr. Singh.

Learning Objectives

  • To familiarise participants with the tools/equipment required to remove corneal foreign bodies
  • To revise the handling techniques required in corneal foreign body removal and apply it in a practical workshop with a model cornea
