This story was created and shared by Optometry Victoria South Australia (OV/SA).

Optometry Victoria South Australia is always on the lookout to engage with the next generation of optometrists, whether they be new graduates or students looking forward to their careers.

To engage with the next generation of each of the university optometry programs, each year members of OV/SA sit down with the presidents and vice presidents of university student societies to engage with the leaders and talk about how their student lives are going.

On April 4, Recent Graduate members of OV/SA were invited to attend the event “Recent Graduate Evening: Optometry Outside the Practice”, which gave them insights from optometrists not in practice who have made careers outside the practice with their optometry degrees. The night also featured a professional photographer to help boost the profiles of these new members of the industry.

Thank you to those who attended the Recent Graduate Evening!

OV/SA is proud to support the next generation of optometrists, and we look forward to seeing more of these wonderful people as leaders of the industry in the coming years.
