- To understand the significance of eye disease burden with the increase in incidence and prevalence world wide of myopia and high myopia
- To understand the normal eye growth in children leading to myopia
- To understand historically the introduction of Atropine as treatment option for myopia progression
- To gain insight to the early studies (ATOM) which provide the foundations of dose and treatment regime in retardation of myopia progression in children
- To be able to treat the appropriate children with Atropine 0.01% in the clinical setting with safe monitoring
- To gain understanding to the safety issues with different doses and combination therapy
