Activity Outline

Dr McLintock, Dr Ng and Dr Meiklejohn will present cases with interaction amongst attending optometrists in cornea, refractive surgery, retina and glaucoma

6 x 30-minute Sessions - Speakers will present cases and attendees will break out into small focus groups to discuss cases before the speaker will then discuss the case as a group. Focus groups will occur throughout the session, minimum of one per topic discussed.

Session 1: Refractive Surgery - Dr Cameron McLintock

Session 2: Infectious Keratitis - Dr Cameron McLintock

Session 3: SLT, stents and trabs - Dr Braden Meiklejohn

Session 4: Pseudoexfoliation traps and trapdoors - Dr Braden Meiklejohn

Session 5: Retinal Tears, holes and breaks - Dr Ken Ng

Session 6: Epiretinal membranes and surgical retina - Dr Ken Ng

Learning Objectives

  • Understand current treatment paradigms for refractive lens options for patients on either side of presbyopia
  • Understand current treatment paradigms for infectious corneal disease
  • Understand current treatment paradigms for current glaucoma treatments
  • Understand current treatment paradigms for pseudoexfoliation
