Optometry Western Australia’s last regional CPD of 2023 will be on Wednesday 6th December presented by the Southwest Eye Surgeons.
Venue:  Southwest Eye Surgeons, 115 Beach Road, Bunbury.

Session Information

The first part of our evening involves examining (hands-on) cases covering a range of topics, giving participants the opportunity to improve their diagnostic skills and to ask questions. The remaining part of the night will be a series of presentations with interactive discussions on topics covering Glaucoma, real-life challenges in a busy practice and the working relationships between Optometry and Ophthalmology. At the end of the evening there’s a little time left for group questions and answers.

  • Dr Lasitha Jayasinghe presents on Real-life Challenges Met During My Busy Anterior Segment & General Ophthalmology Practice – Case-Based Discussion
  • Learning Objective
    To understand real-life challenges met during my practice and have an in-depth discussion on strategies and practicalities involved in solving those challenges

 

  • Dr Geoffrey Chan presents on Glaucoma surgical options – Which Surgery For Which Patient?
  • Learning Objectives
  1. Appreciate the distinctions between traditional glaucoma surgery and the minimal invasive glaucoma surgical procedures
  2. Understand the indications for glaucoma surgery

 

  • Dr Christopher Low presents on How Can Optometry Assist Ophthalmology?
  • Learning Objectives
  1. When to initiate treatment before ophthalmological review
  2. A summary of potential co management strategies for various conditions.
  3. A summary of how to refer, when to refer and what to refer.

 

This is an In Person CPD event only with gourmet canapes and drinks served prior to the CPD start.  Program As Below.

 

6.00pm – 6.30pm Refreshments Served followed by:
