Vision Eye Institute’s one-day conference open to optometrists

Now in its eighth year, Vision Eye Institute’s Eye 360 conference offers up-to-date, clinically relevant information for optometrists, including those who are therapeutically endorsed.

Organisers said a larger venue has been booked for this year’s conference due to overwhelming demand.

The Park Melbourne at Albert Park will host up to 300 optometrists on 19 August who will be exposed to the latest developments in eye care.

Guest speakers Dr Kate Clezy, Director of Infectious Diseases at Prince of Wales Hospital, and Dr Patrick Versace from Vision Eye Institute, Bondi Junction and Hurstville, will feature alongside leading ophthalmologists from Vision Eye Institute’s Victorian clinics.

The one-day conference will include presentations on the revolutionary minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) devices, corneal collagen cross-linking for keratoconus – recently added to the Medicare Benefits Scheme, post-operative therapeutics, infection prevention and control in optometric practice plus much more.

Organisers have applied for up to 18 CPD points including six therapeutics points.
