Assisted by staff resplendent in velvet bloomers and fabric ruffs, 205 registrants enjoyed education and entertainment at South Australia Division’s Shakespearean-themed Blue Sky Congress on 14-16 November.
In the lectures, key speaker Dr Paul Chous focused on diabetes, and other speakers’ topics included nutrition, myopia control and the bionic eye.
The Friday night social event was held at the National Wine Centre, where guests tried their hand at the casino tables and enjoyed the live band.
South Australia Division CEO Libby Boschen said there was a sea of smiling faces leaving the conference.
‘Many of our regulars were concerned that they might not get all that is quintessentially Blue Sky at a bigger venue, but we have proved they get that and more—quality education and entertainment rolled in,’ she said.
