Optometry Australia is delighted to announce the establishment of the Northern Territory Advisory Committee (NTAC).

Following a call for expressions of interest last year, seven members have been appointed to the NTAC. The members are:

  • Georgia Bennett
  • Jack Gooden
  • Teagan Legmann
  • Josiah Murphy
  • Helen Summers
  • Lien Trinh
  • Annee Yogarajah

The NTAC will have input into the work of the Association, and contribute to the future of optometry and eye care in the NT. They will provide advice on issues relevant to the NT, including emerging issues in optometry and eye care, clinical and technical optometric advice and feedback and policy issues and advocacy strategies.

By offering a local perspective, the committee will help shape the development of resources and strategies that benefit the optometry community.

The initial meeting has been scheduled for mid-March. Any members who wish to know more, or want to know how to contribute or participate are encouraged to contact Optometry Australia’s Advancement team at policy@optometry.org.au.

Acknowledgement of Country

In the spirit of reconciliation Optometry Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
