Optometry Queensland Northern Territory (OQNT) is thrilled to again host the Australian Vision Convention (AVC) over the weekend of 6-7 April 2024.

The conference is set to continue its time-honoured tradition of attracting world renowned speakers and offering a diverse range of insightful and educational lectures and workshops designed to enhance your expertise in practice, therapeutics, clinical skills and equipment knowledge.

AVC’s hybrid format extends the event’s reach, allowing delegates from across Australia and worldwide to attend virtually via the event’s Virtual Platform or in-person at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC).

Whether you are joining in-person or virtually, the Virtual Platform will be accessible to all registered delegates throughout the AVC 2024 weekend and for an additional four months after, providing you with the opportunity to participate in on-demand CPD activities and complete the full program.

The program will include topics such as ‘Identifying the stroke patient – red flags and management’, ‘What optometrists should know about visual snow’ and ‘Xalatan is not working. What do I do next?’. It’s set to feature an exciting line-up of speakers of optometrists and ophthalmologists, including Sarah Coudrey, Shannon Davies, Dr Anthony Fong, Linda Karlsson, Dr Judy Ku, Professor Graham Lee, Dr Lindsay McGrath, Dr Cameron McLintock, Dr Tom Moloney, Dr Bao Nguyen, Neeta Oakley, Andrew Robinson, A/Prof Abhishek Sharma, Elspeth Wrigley and Michael Yapp.
