Optometry Western Australia’s WAVE 2022 is set to take place Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March and will offer up to 17 CPD hours, including 11.5 therapeutic and 5 therapeutic interactive hours.  

Delegates can attend virtually via the event’s digital platform, or in person at the Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle.  

WAVE offers members connection, education and collaboration. The CPD content has been curated to provide interactivity and to help you meet your personal learning objectives and complete your reflections. Delegates can also explore exhibitors, products and services.  

Featuring Australian and internationally renowned educators, the program includes topics such as Updates on Age-related Macular Degeneration, Retinal & Optic Nerve Haemorrhages: Clinical Assessment & Differential Diagnosis, Red Flags in Paediatric Examinations, Orthokeratology – How to Get Started and much more.  

Ten speakers will present at WAVE 2022 including two ophthalmic surgeons, Dr Joshua Yuen and Dr Charlotte McKnight. Dr Yuen has a special interest in glaucoma and cataract surgery and Dr McKnight, in cataract, pterygium and eyelid surgery. The full weekend fee for Optometry Australia members is $395 in-person and $175 for virtual access. The half day in-person fee for members is $295.
