This story was created and shared by Optometry Victoria South Australia.

On Monday, 27 March, Optometry Victoria South Australia (OV/SA) hosted their 100th Annual Golf Day at the Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club in Victoria. After a century of Golf, OV/SA is passing the torch to charity partner Sight For All, who will host the event from 2024 onwards.

For 100 years, the Annual Golf Day has been an tradition in Victorian optometry that OV/SA have been proud to continue. As always, Monday’s prestigious event was committed to a valuable optometry cause, and all profits from the event were pledged to improve eye health outcomes for disadvantaged communities with charity Sight For All.

In addition to the main event, less experienced golfers had the option to take part in sponsor raffles and a beginner’s session hosted by a professional golfer. In total, over $2,650 was raised from the main events and sponsor contributions.

While OV/SA is proud to have hosted the event for 100 years, the time has come to pass the torch to another organisation to continue the tradition. Sight For All was more than happy to take on this honour, and the event will be in good hands from 2024 onwards.
