optometry victoria south australia hosts lunch for vic retired members

At the close of 2022, Optometry Victoria South Australia invited retired optometrists from Victoria and South Australia to two state lunches celebrating their careers.

Optometry is a wide community, with members from around Australia in all walks of life. Last December, Optometry Victoria South Australia (OV/SA) wanted to pay special tribute to the retired optometrists of each state in what will hopefully become an annual tradition.

On Tuesday 6 December, OV/SA President Elise Pocknee-Clem and CEO Ilsa Hampton were honoured to host a lunch for the retired optometrists of South Australia. A big thank you to those who came down to Adelaide for the event!

On Monday 12 December, retired Victorian optometrists joined OV/SA CEO Ilsa Hampton and Treasurer Timothy Lo for a wonderful lunch. Together they had a look through the history of the organisation, and some attendees even showed off a glimpse into their younger days!

OV/SA would like to extend a warm thank you to all optometrists who attended these events. The lunches will hopefully become an annual tradition to celebrate the people who have been working in and supporting the profession for many years and are still very much a part of the optometry community.

See you at the next one!
