As part of an international study, Emeritus Professor Nathan Efron from Queensland University of Technology is again conducting an annual survey to investigate the current state of contact lens prescribing in Australia.

Optometry Australia encourages all members who prescribe contact lenses to participate in this important annual survey, now in its 23rd year. The data collected will form part of a major international survey of about 40 countries, with the results used to inform practitioners and the contact lens industry of emerging trends in the field.

The survey has been designed to be simple to complete. You merely enter brief details about the next 10 patients you fit with contact lenses. You can download the survey form in the link below and, when complete, send it to the address given at the bottom of the form. Please complete the survey by 30 April, even if you have not fitted 10 patients by this time.

Optometry Australia’s Optometry Connection will publish detailed results of the survey later this year. Any enquiries should be directed to Professor Efron at n.efron@qut.edu.au.

Download the survey here and take part.
