A centralised customer service team will be based in Melbourne to provide full technical support as part of the nearly completed integration of Australian Contact Lenses (ACL) with Gelflex Laboratories.
Gelflex, which acquired ACL in October 2017, said the centralised team will provide support across both manufacturers’ product ranges.
Despite one centralised technical team, both manufacturing laboratories – ACL in Melbourne, and Gelflex in Perth – will still be operating due to the experience and skills required to make the different products, Gelflex said.
The company said support from Perth will be available for specialist advice where required, but all calls will be directed to Melbourne.
Gelflex said a new resource and training portal will soon be launching, which is designed to offer optometrists new levels of support and resources to develop skills in custom lens fitting and help build a more profitable practice.
Making payment easier
From 1 June customers will receive one statement and will only need to make one payment to Gelflex for all products. Details will be on the statement.
