More than half the optometrists who attended Tasmania’s Lifestyle Congress were from interstate, drawn to the conference by its intimacy, location and educational program

International guests Dr Joseph Sowka and Dr Lori Vollmer were among the speakers lecturing to about 100 delegates at the Old Woolstore in Hobart.

Behavioural optometrist Liz Jackson delivered to popular acclaim the Keith Mackriell Lecture on accommodation and convergence in children.

Optometry Tasmania president Brett Jenkinson was presented with the Chains of Office during the dinner, which was sponsored by CooperVision and held at the Museum of Old and New Art.

Board member Andrew Hogan presented the chains, explaining that the chains had been misplaced for several years and rediscovered only recently.

New Zealand-based optometrist Rodney Stedall addressed the Australian Low Vision Seminar.

TLC will be held in 2016 on 26-28 August.
